When I download a preset from Splice, it goes into my regular downloads folder which is really annoying. In fact, the splice web client doesn't even acknowledge the fact that I'm downloading it. This doesn't happen to samples, only presets. Started with Demo, I remember selecting presets to go into documents. Purchased complete version, installed update file 109b4, then installed Serum FX 109b2Presets folder not found in documents nor Library. I ran a full search on anything under xfer records or serum and only files found were the installers. Mike Hawkins Presets For Serum Volume 1. I’m happy to give you my brand new preset pack for Serum! Steve Duda did an amazing job with this synth, and it’s one of the all-round most flexible ones I can think of, so it only felt natural for me to use it to recreate the vibes that I feel make records fantastic. Once you’re here, you’ll see one single folder titled, ‘Default’. DO NOT TOUCH THIS FOLDER. The ‘Default’ folder is the original folder that will display the original GUI. Instead, when you’re installing these skins, each skin will have its own folder that has similar assets within them.

Hello everyone! I’m glad to present you my new Serum preset set! Steve Duda has done an amazing job with this synthesizer, and it’s one of the most versatile synths I can think of, so it came naturally to me to use it to recreate the atmosphere that I think makes the recordings fantastic.

In this package you will find 64 original presets created from scratch. Some of them may seem “strange” at first glance (or in your particular track), but you can be sure that all of them were carefully thought out with a specific idea in mind.

The “Knice Party” preset may sound odd at high notes, but drop it lower and this patch will kill you. There is something completely crazy about Streets when it is played like a quick drop pattern. “This One Loves Chords” sounds very sad on its own, but play a great minor chord and listen to the effects of the sound. So good! What about Spacetime? This may not be your typical arp, but play a few notes one after the other and hear them come to life. A patch like “Istanbul” changes dramatically depending on how quickly you hit a note. You understand what I am trying to say here. Make some awesome recordings with these sounds!

Most of them were turned on / off in my own recordings when I needed this “unique” layer – it was more important to me than just creating the “Electro Leads 101” folder. Some sounds work great outside of their range (“BA Beast” is a cool advantage too!), And some of them you have to keep in your intended range (“BA Clash” is great on the low, but a freaky, horrible breakaway). And check out BA State of EDM 2015 – a monstrous wobbly bass, but in high notes it sounds like the flute from Fisher Price. And then I want to thank my friends 7 Skies, Toby Green and Futuristic Polar Bears who added a few sounds each and really helped bring the pack to life. All the best! Mike hawkins

You’re probably here, because you finally made the very good decision to get yourself a license of Xfer’s flagship synth Serum. You played around with the stock presets for a while (which honestly aren’t that good) and now you’re looking for something better, right?

In this list you’ll find thousands of free Serum presets for a variety of different genres, so no matter if you’re producing Trap, Hip Hop, Dubstep, Future Bass or House: I’m confident that you’ll find something useful 😉

Btw, if this is the first time you’re downloading Serum presets and you just can’t find the right folder on your drive I’d suggest to check out this post here.

Free Hip Hop Serum Presets

Wall-shaking 808s, dark reese basses or keys. The following presets are perfect for everything related to Hip Hop or Trap, but can certainly be used for other styles as well.

Free LoFi and Retro Serum Presets

Somehow old and retro sounding music is more popular than ever before. There’s something about distortion, pitch modulations and vinyl crackles that makes us feel melancholic or nostalgic. If this is the Vibe you’re going for you’ll love the following stuff.

Free Future Bass Serum Presets

If you’re looking for some viby supersaw chord stacks you can use for your next Future Bass drops, these are the presets you should take a look at. Just click on the blue links and follow the remaining instructions.

Free House & EDM Serum Presets

Yes, there are countless types of House or EDM in general, but I still decided to combine all of those under one headline (shame on me) 😉

Free Techno Serum Presets

Somehow there aren’t that many presets for Techno producers available. The ones I found, however, are from the highest quality (especially the ones by Diode Eins).

Free Dubstep Serum Presets

Dubstep and Hybrid Trap are definitely among the hardest genres to produce. Luckily there are some talented sound designers, sharing growls and screeches with us.

The Best Premium Packs

Although this post is mainly about free stuff I want to introduce you to some of my favorite paid packs. Most of the freebies only come with a few patches, so if you really want to get your hands on some complete packs that cover a lot of different sounds you should think about spending a few bucks.
